the location was perfect for exploring the Loch Lomond region, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. the cottage itself was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including two bathrooms, TVs in every room, and essential amenities like hairdryers and an iron. Fiona, the host, was incredibly helpful and friendly, providing us with great recommendations that made our trip even better. Parking on-site was a bonus, and the presence of a supermarket just a short walk away was convenient.
It felt like a home away from home and we would definitely stay here again. Cons: Nothing, no complaints at all.

The apartment was spacious and well-furnished, with all the amenities you could need. The two shower rooms were a great bonus, and the beds were comfortable with TVs in each room. The well-furnished kitchen had all the mod cons, and the ample parking was a plus. The central heating was a welcome feature, especially during the colder months. We also appreciated the friendly and helpful host who gave us a tour on arrival and was available for any queries or assistance.
One aspect that could be improved is the lack of a recycling area or information on what could be recycled during our stay. As someone who typically segregates waste, this was a letdown.

our recent stay in balloch was even better than before. old smiddy cottage and apartment provided a comfortable home away from home, with all the necessary amenities. Fiona's excellent recommendations made our exploration of stirling and the trossachs even more enjoyable. a great base with plenty of options for dining and shopping.

The cottage was ideally located close to the shops and provided a great base for exploring the area. The picturesque garden surrounding the cottage was also a lovely touch. The whole place was immaculately clean and tidy, and the decor was bright and modern. Everything we needed for our stay was provided, so we didn't have to bring any extra items. The host was friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home.
The shower was a bit of a disappointment as the water dribbled out and it was difficult to wash properly. The couches in the cottage were too low and uncomfortable, and there was some old-fashioned furniture that could use an update.

The location was perfect, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. The staff, especially Fiona, were friendly and helpful, providing excellent recommendations for exploring the area.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast menu better would be the addition of a wider selection of hot food options.

The accommodation was snug and comfortable, with beautiful decor. The staff were friendly and provided helpful tourist information. The area had stunning scenery and interesting places to visit. Plus, the accommodation had great facilities and good Wi-Fi signal.
There were too many overpowering air fresheners, which had to be unplugged. The bathroom could benefit from a magnifying mirror.
